'Chicken' Gluten

Ingredients:

 3/4 c. cashews
1 c. water
1 1/2 c. gluten flour
2 Tbsp. whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1/2 tsp. onion powder
3/4 tsp. garlic powder
 
Broth Ingredients:

8 c. water
1 1/2 Tbsp. Chicken-like seasoning
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 Tbsp. nutritional yeast flakes
 
 
Directions:
 
1. For broth, stir all broth ingredients well in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil.

2. For gluten, combine dry ingredients.

3. Blend cashews in water until smooth, then add to the dry ingredients and quickly knead together.

4. Shape the gluten mixture into a log shape and cut into 1/2” slices.
5. Drop the slices into boiling broth. Boil lightly for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

i so like this site...cat wait to try this recipe. it sound like a good recipe for a veggir cookin class..
